During my secondary and college education, no one had ever taught me how to make a website. So, when I had to make a website for the first time as a graduate student, I looked for a tool that was easy to use and free (graduate students need a lot of free things). Weebly.com is the best Web 2.0 tool I have found for website creation, and I constantly recommend it to students when they too need to make websites. Too many students perceive website creation as laborious, but with this website, it's fun and easy. For graduate students like me who are not technology whizzes, websites like weebly.com can be a godsend. Besides making professional portfolios, this website also helps you to create blogs, slide shows, and photo galleries. Since I am not a teacher, other ways this tool could be used for professionals in my field would be: reflection blog creation and slide show/photo galleries of that semester's highlights.
